Opening Act: Bruce “The Moose” Goodman
Bruce may be small in stature, but he is big on laughs.
He is also one of the most under rated veteran comedians working in the Midwest today. Bruce has been in the game for a long time. This Dayton, Ohio native started performing stand up in 1983 and began headlining shows nearly 35 years ago. That’s a lot of experience packed into his diminutive 5’2” frame.
Bruce has a classic stand up style that always delivers. He is intelligent and doesn’t dumb down his show for the crowd. Instead, he challenges them to keep up. His act is observational, situational and occasionally autobiographical. He has a gravelly voice, a keen wit, and impeccable timing. He keeps his humor above the waistline, never lowering himself to crude or offensive humor. His show is sometimes hilariously self deprecating and he doesn’t shy away from political, when the situation calls for it. A master of the call-back, he rewards the audience with throwback punchlines that complement previous jokes. He is intuitive, idealistic, and insightful.
Bruce is not afraid to hop in the car and work the road. He has performed in 37 states and worked at some of the top clubs, casinos, and colleges in the nations. He has been seen on Showtimes’s “Comedy Playoff”, Fox’s “After Hours”, CBS’s “Hot Summer Nights”, and The Comedy Club Network. He has also been interviewed on hundreds of radio stations across the country, including the syndicated “Bob and Tom Show”
In addition to performing stand up, Bruce is also an accomplished writer. He has written two screenplays, The Suspect Witness” and “Just a Chance”. He has also had several other jobs over the years: golf pro, school teacher, industrial supply business owner and owner of a bar and comedy club. He is definitely a man of many talents.
Bruce Goodman is the funniest five footer found for a fee. He has the experience necessary to please any audience and any demographic. His skill set makes most other comedians look like amateurs. He graps you by the funny bone from the moment he steps on stage and he never lets go… Going in, you may not now his name, but you are sure to leave a fan.
